1. Acknowledgment of Participation and Selection Process
I acknowledge that my payment for this Tryout/Combine secures my position as a willing and voluntary participant. I understand that participation does not guarantee a spot on any team roster. This event is a highly competitive workout designed to allow participants to earn a draft pick from an active EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION coach. I certify that I am at least 18 years of age at the time of registration.
2. Arrival and Venue Protocols
To ensure the security of all attendees and maintain the proper flow of venue traffic, I agree to arrive at the facility strictly 15 minutes prior to my scheduled tryout time. Failure to adhere to this schedule may result in a delayed entry or forfeiture of my tryout slot without a refund.
3. Vital Information and PWA Player Profiles
I consent to EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION collecting and documenting my vital information to be publicly displayed on the league's official PWA Web App. The information collected and posted will include: First and Last Legal Name, Primary and Secondary Positions, Height, Weight, and Wingspan.
4. Mandatory Combine Drills and Scrimmage
I understand that EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION utilizes a proprietary player rating system. To have my physical attributes applied to my official player profile, I agree to complete the following four (4) mandatory combine drills, performing each drill exactly one time: Agility Drill, Speed Drill, Strength Drill, and Vertical Drill. Following the drills, I will participate in a live scrimmage. I understand that I am being evaluated not only on my individual athletic ability but also on my capacity to play winning, team-oriented basketball.
5. Media, Broadcast, and Likeness Release
I grant EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION full, irrevocable rights in perpetuity to record, stream, live-stream, and distribute my name, image, likeness, and performance during this Tryout/Combine. I understand that these materials may be used across various media platforms, including but not limited to the official EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION PODCAST, social media, and promotional materials, without any expectation of future compensation.
6. Post-Selection Requirements
I acknowledge that if I am successfully selected by an EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION coach, my roster spot is contingent upon reviewing and signing a separate official Acceptance Letter. This subsequent document will outline the specific details, expectations, and responsibilities required for participating in the full 40-game season.
7. Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
I recognize that basketball is a physical, contact sport. I voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, or property damage associated with my participation in this Tryout/Combine, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, concussions, and other injuries. I hereby release, waive, and discharge EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION, its coaches, staff, venue operators, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or demands arising from my participation.
8. Medical Fitness Declaration
I certify that I am in good physical health and have no medical conditions that would prevent safe participation in competitive basketball activities. I authorize EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION and its staff to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if deemed necessary, and I accept financial responsibility for any such treatment.
9. Code of Conduct
I agree to conduct myself in a sportsmanlike and professional manner at all times during this Tryout/Combine. Fighting, unsportsmanlike conduct, verbal abuse of staff or fellow participants, or any behavior deemed disruptive by EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION staff will result in immediate ejection from the event without a refund and potential ban from future EDG events.
10. Equipment and Attire
I understand that I am required to arrive wearing appropriate basketball attire, including basketball shoes (no street shoes or sandals), athletic shorts, and an athletic top. No jewelry, including chains, rings, or earrings, may be worn during drills or scrimmage play. EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION is not responsible for any lost or damaged personal property.
11. Refund Policy
The $100.00 registration fee is non-refundable. In the event that a Tryout/Combine session is cancelled by EDG SPORTS LEAGUE CORPORATION, participants will be offered the option to transfer to a different session or receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for no-shows, late arrivals, or voluntary withdrawal.
